In order to be in compliance with the law, and not be accused of spamming, there are a few things you have to do:

1. Your e-mail message must have an accurate ‘from’ heading where you put in your name or the name of your company.

2.

4. Make efforts to obviously label your email if it contains adult content.

5. You can’t have a fake header on your email.

6. You need to offer a clear, and free, link for the recipient to ‘un-scubscribe’ and if they click that link they should straight away be removed from your email list and you shouldn’t send them another e-mail. Having an ‘opt-in’ list is perhaps your absolute best shield against being accused of spam. They are giving you permission to send them mails. So as to get them to sign on to your list you can offer them a motivation such as a free report or a multi part mini-course that they’re going to receive over a period of a week or so. Whatever you offer them to make them sign up, ensure it has real worth to your subscriber. Take a little time and develop a brief which has some real price and substance to it. I am not an expert or a lawyer so take care you take a little time and learn all the details of the CAN SPAM law so that you can ensure your company is in compliance. Do not let the new laws scare you off from employing mass email promoting since it can be a particularly effective selling tool for your business. If you take the time to discover what all of the rules are and then you follow them, you’ll be in compliance and you’ll be able to add lots of purchasers to your business which should eventually lead to more sales, and that’s what we all need.
